Recently I finished the GOTY Enhanced edition of Borderlands, which I played in the original ages ago - back then I made it nearly to the end of the first play-through, and this time we did the base run and also moved on to the DLC packages (except the Underdome arena DLC, life's too short for that one). I'm delighted at how old the Borderlands games are. The first one came out in October of 2009, fifteen years ago this week. Borderlands 2, which we've just started - I'm playing these co-op with a friend, though at heart I'm really a solo player - came out in 2012. And here in 2024, I'm having a blast with them. Though I'm not sure I'm actually going to go and do the second play-through, because, well, you know. There are so many games in the world.

haven't played first game, somehow finished 2nd game fully co-op when it was free on epic, stop midway on 3rd (which I also got from epic because a friend invite me to play with), planning to play tales from but as you said, there are so many games in the world that distract me from playing tales from!

I also only really started to play Borderlands 2 last year. I stopped playing at launch because it felt too slow, with too much walking. But once the quest hub opened up it became a blast, I found out.
I can recomnend checking out some of the DLC, I really enjoyed their silly storylines.

Too slow? That was not a complaint I had! I did all of the DLCs for the first one, except the Arena one (not my thing). They were super fun.

Also it's been a long time since I played the first borderlands but have fond memories playing it with a group. My favourite character to play was Lilith.

I played Lilith in my first try at BL1 and loved her. On the second time through I did the Hunter, Mordecai, and he was OK, but Lilith was more fun. Don't tell Mordecai I said that, though. Have fun with Darksiders! I really need to play these myself, one of these days.
