Using Humble Bundle gift links too often would lead to them labelling you as a "trader" and they refused to help if anything goes wrong with the keys because it goes against their ToS.
Basically some bs to not provide support, probably caused by too many people abusing the system. Or just a lazy way to not have to deal with people.

Humble can track gift links so if they see you are sending them all round the world, they may suspect you to be a trader and ban/block you. Best to extract the key and make the giveaway in my opinion. It's what i do. I never use gift links now.

I quickly re-read the help and FAQ and I couldn't find an answer to this specific question.
I recall, from a few years ago, reading comments about how using gift links for giveaways of games from Humble Bundle could cause some issues and it was preferrable to rather use direct keys.
While I tend to use keys anyway, I'd like to know better or if it's only some hazy memory. Thanks.
