Do you sit down in a clean public toilet?
I try to shit next to the toilet rather than in it.

Since I am a woman and I am not very good at squatting I see no other way then to sit down on the toilet seat.
What I do is that I wipe the seat with some paper first but after that, yes I did, not a fan but I do!
I do try to avoid to go to such bathrooms, also am very careful with washing my hands, I don't touch the faucet with my washed hands but grab a paper towel and also don't touch the door handle without a towel or if there is none, without my sleeve since those things tend to be super dirty...!

That is indeed a good advice!
I don't use those since average I use a "public" restroom like once a month, if not less so the wipes would just dry out before I could use them, but for people who use it more often it's a great advice!

I put toilet paper on the seat and sit on that. Doesn't take long and solves the issue!

I did the same, but I've basically stopped doing that. Nowadays I either squat if it's unclean, or I sit down directly when it looks clean (I mean, I'm going to wash myself anyway once I'm back home, so no big deal).

"Not sure if true" fact: as toilets are cleaned with anti-bacterial etc cleaning agents while paper isn't, it's actually safer to sit on toilet instead of paper.

i carry wet wipes with me when going out so can clean the seat if needed since normal toilet paper doesnt rly clean it enough

That's a good idea! After you're done with them, you might want to throw the wet wipes in the bin, and not flush them. This kind of non bio-degradable material causes havoc on pipes and sewage systems.

depends on which kind you use i hink, normal household wet wipes or the ones designd for butt wiping, the ones i use state on the package it safe to throw in toilet but the household ones dont have that

Yeah, I know some packages have that label. It doesn't mean anything. They're not that chemically different to the ones that don't have the label. They get stuck for years on filtration systems, sewers grates, etc. causing overflows and spillages. They're a real pain to deal with.

I try to shit at home before going to office or in any gatherings. I shit once in 24 hours. I hate public toilets even if its clean. Different people different bacteria.

Toilets in Australia, at least my part of it are generally quite clean, especially council administered ones and especially in more touristy spots, so I generally always sit, but there are obviously always exceptions :) Japanese toilets on the other hand, are next level lol

Around my parts, there is disinfectant dispenser next to the toilet paper so I utilise them fully and sit down trustingly.
Air squats though for the dirty ones or hold till I get home.

I never have had a situation happen to me where i NEED to go... number 2... at a public toilet, but if i had, i'd say i would have absolutely no problem, maybe after the first experience i'd change my mind...

Do you sit down in a clean public toilet? I don't mean a sketchy, smelly truck stop toilet yellow from fresh (and old) piss. I mean regularly cleaned, normal looking, normal smelling restroom in cinema, or theatre, or good restaurant, or decent shopping mall, or decent airport.
