Is there a way to block youtube ads in the steam client?

Adblockers work fine for browsers, and i wouldn't mind 1 ad while watching some youtube clip from a guide, but every few bits you want to skip you get an ad. Just wondering.

I've found this thread:

which states

Valve is not providing a way to block ad revenue streams from YouTube videos or any other website/streaming service.
You will have to do this on your own and at your own risk.

Probably do-able but it's probably a hassle and would not really be worth the effort :P

I mean, if effort isn't an issue, why not just right click > copy link > paste in browser that DOES have adblock?

I know that the Steam client runs on Chromium when it comes to web stuff, but I have no clue if it allows extensions.

i can recommend the pi-hole. however, one of the things pi-hole isn't effetive, is youtube ads since most of them come from the same server of where the video came from.
