There were some reports that it had some big piracy problems and that it didn't sell well in the release-weeks. However they might overcome this with this wintersale. Seems like many people want it here...

You are right - I misinterpret the report. It's actually a good figure.
It feels a bit strange that they discuss the piracy while having good sale figures, though.

It's not strange. It's GameSpot. That's a very bad place to get your news from. Hotline Miami is actually selling good, and it's because of piracy in a way. The developer supports pirated versions as well and has made a lot of advertisement that way and got more sales. As far as PC Gaming News goes, you should stick to Rock Paper Shotgun. They're among the best at it.

Point taken, its a matter of opinion and choice. The best sidescroller that I've played is Trine. I have Trine II but I haven't played it yet. Snapshot is a good sidescroller too.
