For some reason I read 2025 and my first thought was "not again!" but thankfully it was just tired eyes and no glasses.
It was devastating. I can't imagine having to live through such devastation, wondering if your loved ones and the people you know are safe.
I hope we learn from events like these although humanity seems to be hell bent on forgetting every lesson in its past but I'm still confident that the people who lived through it and those who rallied to help will remember and that it will change things for the future.

I completely understand that reaction just the thought of such a tragedy happening again is terrifying. The loss, the destruction, and the helplessness are things that stay with forever. I also hope that humanity learns from these disasters, though history often proves otherwise. But like you said, those who lived through it and those who stood up to help will remember. Their resilience, their actions, and their voices can make a difference. Change takes time, but every lesson we hold onto brings us one step closer to a safer future. Thank you for your kind words it means a lot.

On February 6, 2023, Türkiye experienced one of the most devastating earthquakes in its history. Two massive earthquakes, measuring 7.7 and 7.6 in magnitude, struck the southern region, affecting 11 provinces and leaving behind unimaginable destruction. More than 50,000 lives were lost, millions were displaced, and entire cities were reduced to rubble.
It was a tragedy that shook not only Türkiye but the entire world. Families were torn apart, homes vanished in seconds, and hope seemed distant. Yet, amidst the devastation, something powerful emerged—solidarity. Rescue teams from all over the world rushed to help, strangers became family, and people united in the face of unimaginable loss.
This disaster was not just about the past—it is a warning for the future. We must learn, prepare, and build safer cities to prevent such loss again. Honoring the memory of those we lost means taking action, ensuring that future generations do not suffer the same fate.
To those who lost their lives, may they rest in peace. To those who survived, may they find strength. We will never forget.
