You would find info on Help. But here a small summary. If the game gets it price lowered you lose Contributor Level. And if it gets bundled and you made the giveaway after the bundle started you would get reduced Contributor Level, it migh get flagged as a bundle game later but you would still lose CL

Possible? I guess, but the chances of that happening are about the chances of a cow falling on you from the sky at any given moment of your entire life. Has a cow fallen on you yet? No? Is there a chance? Yeah sure.
You are much more likely to lose a level or two however, like deranking from 10 to 9 or 7 to 5 for instance.

No. Itโs almost impossible. The only way that could happen is that you giveaway hundreds of asset flip games priced at 50$ each, and those games later could be given a 0 value.
But that doesnโt happen with normal spare games of bundles or with almost any game.

The loss of value in cv it's not that significant, in those cases. But take a look at this discussion.

Possible I guess but highly improbable. For that to happen you'd have to make a massive amount of giveaways(or huge value) of games that are already being given out for free somewhere as steam keys that you'd hit level 10 and when they are marked as free games and their value is reduced to 0 it is retroactively applied to the day they started being given away for free(which would have been before the giveaway date). Or everything you give out somehow goes F2P on Steam.
However that's not really something that happens unless someone is trying to game the system.
Games go on the No Value/Reduced Value list manually so there's a delay and their CV status is only applied to giveaways created after the dates that get input as the bundle/freebie date. So if for example you make a giveaway for let's say Hitman 3 today and it ends up being bundled in Jan 2nd then you'll get full CV for it and it'll stay that way. If however you make your giveaway in Jan 3rd you'll (incorrectly) get full CV for a few hours/days until it is added to the list as Reduced value with a starting date of Jan 2nd.
The only kind of "unexpected" CV loss you might have is from Steam repricing. So if a $70 game reduces its price to $50 then your CV changes accordingly too.

I have no idea when that happened, but apparently Killing Floor went free at some point.
Little tip, when you create a giveaway, you might see an asterisk or two next to the game's name: 1 means reduced value, 2 means no value.
You can find more details and information in the Guidelines, FAQ, and even just by reading the little text when creating a giveaway.
Welcome to the other side of Steamgifts!

How does de-ranking work?
