Interesting, I didn't really feel the original was lacking in much, but it seems to be the consensus that Re-birth is just better all around. I'll look at picking it up eventually.

I would not consider myself a fan, I would say the game loses its luster for me after a few play throughs because of how you can be entirely fucked by the randomization of the game over any skill of your own.

Intersting, because that's exactly what a I like about the game, its total randomness.
But once you get good at it you can turn the tables quite frequently with the correct stratagy.

If you have enough skill, it won't matter what the run throws at you. As long as you can dodge :)
But really, I feel every run, I KNOW every run is winnable. You just have to be able to dodge and make the RIGHT decisions. Unfortunately you don't always know what the right decisions are until later.
