For the rate limiting well that "performance" changes are directly linked to that.
As for the posts, apparently changes from above topic had an effect on ESGST, so perhaps the "performance reasons" included these changes.

I thought it would be more specifically stated if there were new rate limiting limits...
How do you know it jas affected ESGST? None of the comments say anything, and nothing in the post itself...

I updated site comments with some changes the past couple of days. I'll post an announcement tomorrow when the changes are completely finished. I would assume the change breaking these add-ons is how the link to the last page of comments now directs to "page=last", instead of the last page number.
I didn't make any adjustments to rate limiting. The change is most likely causing a script you have installed to get into an endless loop until you hit the limit.

Hmm... Thanks for the heads up. It is probably related - ESGST trying to reach the last page of the comments and sending endless requests to the site which hit the wall.
I'll let the said devs know about this. 👌

This is also causing the SG for SteamGifts Android app to break. I'm taking a look.

Looks like for the app the issue is that https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/%ANY_DISCUSSION_ID%/search?page=%LARGE_NUMBER% before the update would probably redirect to the actual last page, now it returns "No results were found"

I'm waiting on a reply by cg higher in this thread on whether it's supposed to be that way or not. If it's supposed to work that way, I have a fix ready

Did something change in SG?
As title says - comments are not loading anymore in the android app or on desktop with ESGST when using settings to show last comments first.
Also, I noticed that there is a more aggressive rate limiting, I now get blocked quite quickly, after opening 5 or 6 tabs (I usually open multiple threads in new tabs for review).
I haven't seen any announcements about these changes.
Did anyone else notice this? Why is this happening? Are these two things connected?
